Privacy policy
Version of 30 October 2026.
This policy explains what personal data the NGO "Plody Dukha" (officially registered as «Плоди Духу») collects through this website, why we need it, how we protect it and what rights you have. We follow the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection".
Who we are
The data controller is the non-governmental organisation «Плоди Духу» ("Plody Dukha"), EDRPOU code 45798342, Dnipro, Ukraine. Chair of the Board: Denys Chornyi.

What data we collect
Through the "Become a volunteer" form, only what you enter yourself:
- your name;
- phone number;
- city (optional);
- how you would like to help and a few words about yourself (optional).
Please share only what we need to offer you something to do.
We do not require registration, we do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising.
Why we need it
- to contact you and arrange volunteering;
- to coordinate volunteers: call-outs, meal handouts, help at the shelter;
- to keep internal records of requests and report on our work in aggregate, without names or contacts.
The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box in the form.
Who has access
Only the coordinators and administrators of the organisation who need it for their work can see requests. A notification about a new request goes to a private coordinators’ chat in Telegram.
The site relies on technical providers: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database) and Telegram (notifications). Their servers may be located outside Ukraine; they process data only to keep the site running.
We do not share your data with anyone else, except where you agreed or where the law requires it.
How long we keep data
We keep a request while you volunteer with us and for no longer than 3 years after that. After that the data is deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
How we protect data
The site only works over HTTPS. Only authorised people with personal accounts can sign in to the admin area. The form is protected against automated submissions.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track visitors. Technical cookies are set only when signing in to the admin area.
YouTube videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The Instagram and Facebook pages we link to have their own privacy policies.
To protect against spam we may temporarily process an anonymised fingerprint of your IP address.
Your rights
Under Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection" you have the right to:
- know what data of yours we process and why;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- withdraw your consent and have your data deleted;
- object to processing;
- complain to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or to a court.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details at the bottom of the site. We will reply within 30 days.
Children
The form is intended for adults. Minors may volunteer only with the consent of a parent or another legal guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page, with the date at the top.
